What's included

• Vertical palisade timber, round-top or pointed, on two or three horizontal rails
• 4-inch treated posts (100x100mm) at 1800mm centres, 600-750mm post-mix

• Optional single galvanised straining wire at top rail on the exposed runs

Pricing

£50-75/m installed depending on height and spacing between palings. Tightly-spaced palisade (rabbit-tight) sits at the top of the range and can be combined with wire trace - see deer and rabbit-proof rural fencing.

Wingham-specific notes

Palisade is the common ask on orchard-side and paddock-frontage boundaries on the Preston, Staple and Wickhambreaux sides. Solid enough to keep deer honest at 1800mm, permeable enough for wind to blow through rather than push. On the exposed Preston ridge I go to 1500mm centres.
